Nalini Singh – Psy/Changeling Series

I liked the premise of this story where there are different races living on earth alongside humans and everyone knows about each other. The Psy have powers but are punished for emotions. If a Psy shows emotion, they are rehabilitated which basically means they are made to be walking vegetables. The Changelings are humans that turn into animals like wolves and panthers. They also have strength and power but they thrive on the love of family and community. Humans are just humans but they seem to be okay with living in this world where everyone else is more powerful. The stories are really interesting and I’ve read most of the series but I think that the characters, especially the female characters are a little too perfect. I mean, they are too nice, too polite, too giving, too virtuous. I like a little more spunk and some flaws in lead characters. I also think the series lacked a sense of humor. That being said, I’d still recommend this series.
